There is an extremely powerful false narrative dominating coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In this episode I make several extremely controversial statements, but they are all backed by evidence that people should be able to engage with for themselves to make their own decisions. Most importantly, the goal of discussing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is to bring about peaceful coexistence between both populations The biggest obstacle to that in my opinion is the extremely racist dehumanization of Palestinians which the majority of Israeli society embraces. Part of that dehumanization comes in the form of dismissing their actual views and replacing it with a propaganda narrative. If you believe Hamas acts purely out of hatred for Jewish people and that Israel has been a partner for peace but Palestinians are the problem, you’ve been a victim of Israeli propaganda. I wrote this post, The Path to Peace, to discuss the root cause of this conflict and the best way to achieve peaceful coexistence.
