The Trump Cult

Americans should be aware of the growing threat to their freedoms from the Trump administration. Is the GOP willing to destroy the Constitution to appease King Donald or will they grow a spine?

The Republican Party is a Trump cult.

Donald the Wannabe Dictator

Donald the Wannabe Dictator

Donald Trump is pushing presidential abuses of power to whole new levels. At the same time the Republican Party is handing over power and authority meant to be in the hands of Congress to Donald Trump. And there are no check and balances in our current government; the GOP is a cult that worships Trump like a god so they go along with his every whim. The…

And Donald Trump is committing genocide in Gaza, arresting then deporting American citizens without due process, launching a global trade war, extorting Ukraine, and floating an unnecessary war with Iran, he is getting almost no pushback at all from the GOP Cult.

Trump's Abuses of Power

Trump's Abuses of Power

Donald Trump began the year with the highest approval rating he had ever seen at any time while President. In January the magazine NewsWeek reported that,

The elected Republicans in Congress are proving to be more loyal to Trump than to America or the Constitution!

As Donald Trump attempts to destroy our rights as American citizens, keep these quotes in mind from former Supreme Court Justice William O Douglas;

“As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air – however slight – lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness…”

“The framers of the constitution knew human nature as well as we do. They too had lived in dangerous days; they too knew the suffocating influence of orthodoxy and standardized thought. They weighed the compulsions for restrained speech and thought against the abuses of liberty. They chose liberty."

“We are rapidly entering the age of no privacy, where everyone is open to surveillance at all times; where there are no secrets from government."

“These examples and many others demonstrate an alarming trend whereby the privacy and dignity of our citizens is being whittled away by sometimes imperceptible steps. Taken individually, each step may be of little consequence. But when viewed as a whole, there begins to emerge a society quite unlike any we have seen -- a society in which government may intrude into the secret regions of man's life at will."

“Until the Fourth Amendment, which is closely allied with the Fifth, is rewritten, the person and the effects of the individual are beyond the reach of all government agencies until there are reasonable grounds to believe (probable cause) that a criminal venture has been launched or is about to be launched. There have been powerful…pressures throughout our history that bear heavily on the Court to water down constitutional guarantees and give the police the upper hand. That…pressure has probably never been greater than it is today. Yet if the individual is no longer to be sovereign, if the police can pick him up whenever they do not like the cut of his jib, if they can 'seize' and 'search' him in their discretion, we enter a new regime. The decision to enter it should be made only after a full debate by the people of this country.”
